The Nurture the Future Foundation supports
for-purpose/charitable organisations requiring built environment services, with a focus on creating safe, welcoming, and supportive environments for at-risk children, youth, and women. Our aim is to alleviate stresses related to education and housing for these communities.

Our Story

The Nurture the Future Foundation (NtFF) was born out of a decade-long commitment of giving from K2LD Architects to philanthropic causes. It has been a pillar of our business to sow back into the community through our skillsets and our networks. Our efforts have consisted of hosting various fundraising events as well as in-kind or monetary support for charitable organisations needing assistance with built environment projects. Over the years we have been able to provide crisis accommodation and shelters for women, new classrooms for underprivileged youth, and therapeutic gardens and sensory rooms. We have also provided music therapy for sick children and raised funds for homeless youth.

Through our journey with these organisations, we discovered a gap in the provision of design services and project management advice for charitable organisations needing to improve their built environment to service their clients better. These organisations often need to undertake projects that involve the creation of new facilities within buildings and in the landscape that help them deliver on their commitments. Or they may be bringing existing facilities up to standard with small fit-out works or new furniture and styling.

With our design & strategic project delivery skills, we’re striving to make a deep commitment to charitable work with the creation of this entity. We also see this as a greater opportunity to leverage our networks (peers, colleagues, clients & consultants) to create even greater impact and support for those in need.

At the heart of Nurture the Future is a belief that good design and creative solutions can help to support those in need in the midst of this challenging climate. In an era defined by flux, we embrace change and the necessity to find unique solutions through our craftsmanship. We are constantly seeking to help our clients find solutions through evolutionary and adaptive design approaches that will give hope and positively impact future generations.

Our Services

Backed by decades of experience in the built environment, Nurture the Future Foundation aims to provide for-purpose organisations the support they require to turn vision into reality. We understand that strategy, design and delivery of projects are not often the core focus of teams running charities, and it can be incredibly stressful to undertake built projects at the same time as taking care of the community. Our intent is to alleviate as much of this burden as we can by providing our industry skills and networks to help bring projects to life.
